Hey man I just wanted to say Good Luck, really hope you get help that works for you. It’s possible no matter how much it feels impossible! My mum is now a recovering addict after about twenty years of alcoholism and acute pancreatitis. Hospitalised more times than I can remember and even being told ‘if you drink again you’ll die’ and yet would be discharged and first thing she’d do is pick up a drink. To this day she can’t even describe what happened that made her one day manage to stop (with help of course and had to be medically prescribed booze daily!)

Anyway I just wanted to let you know it’s possible to get sober and mend things with your family (we were estranged for a while due to her drinking). Can’t pretend to understand it but after seeing someone I love so much go through the addiction I have major sympathy and hope for you - it’s possible!
