You make a fair point to a certain degree and the financial disparity has only been widened by the financial model of European football in the last 30 years which has meant we've (Celtic) have been able to source millions of pounds despite getting humped in Europe for nearly two decades.

Nevertheless, the other big clubs in the country (Aberdeen, Hearts hibs and Rangers obviously) have been run terribly on and off the pitch in the last 30 years. Not one of those teams has adopted a modern approach to football, the style is deplorable, it's from a by gone age.

It's no coincidence that despite us rebuilding a team, we are close to winning the league, primarily because we have a manager that has a modern, forward thinking philosophy. The biggest thing holding almost all of the teams back, is their insistence on continuing to adopt such an insular approach to a modern game. Thats why we've not qualified for a world cup in over twenty years although that will hopefully change this year.
