Starting from the Lighthouse viewpoint in town there 3 walks I typically take tourists or people new to the city on which may give him a lot to see of Glasgow are:

\- one East through Merchanct City and Merchant Square to the Cathedral and around the Necropolis then down to Glasgow Green with a stop at West Brewery for a beer

\- one West through down Great Western Road and down Byres Road, up to Glasgow Uni then through Kelvin Grove to Finniston for a beer somewhere

\- one South (though the walk South can be a bit meh unless you go from further up the river), down Vicky Road, round Queens Park, down through Shawlands to Pollok park (the specific best loop I like is down past the Granary, past the cricket club, down by the river, through the house gardens and then up through the forest and back up to Pollokshaws Road through via Crossmyloof, end with a pint at Phillies

A great cycle to experience is down the river and up to Loch Lomond via the canals, probably my fave thing to do of a weekend.
