Most of the issues you all have with ScotRail are due to infrastructure issues. ScotRail don't control the infrastructure, network rail do (who have been government owned since the late 90s). We are now seeing overdue investment in our railway infrastructure but that will take decades to see much of the benefit (source: work for the railways)
