I know you mean well but in my opinion, foodbanks just perpetuate the issue.

Tories know that as long as foodbanks exist in society, they can keep getting away with keeping benefit levels criminally low.

The Trussell Trust in particular thrives off of the fact people can't afford to feed themselves. Look at how big they have become over the last ten years.

Poverty is an industry. People in a situation like this would be better off joining up to one of the community pantries in Glasgow. For £1 a year and £2.50 a go, you can get £15 or £20 worth of food that you choose yourself instead of some middle class old biddy who is probably silently judging you for your life choices handing you over a bag of tins and sending you on your way.
