Comment	Following a post I made in the main sub about making friends in Glasgow, now is as good a time as any for a "live" experiment. If like me you don't have anyone to do stuff with tonight, and you'd like to do stuff, then you can meet me and others like us (that's the theory) between 6pm and 7pm here [https://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/travel/glaox-moxy-glasgow-merchant-city/](https://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/travel/glaox-moxy-glasgow-merchant-city/) I know, meet at a hotel, makes me sound like some kind of laddie of the night, but i've been in on a Friday and it's quiet enough and there's places to sit/mingle, and there's a train station right there, plus 10 minutes walk from city centre, and it fits my vision of people in Glasgow living like a tourist/backpacker and just hanging out to do whatevers on at times they're free. No criteria other than - BRING AN IDEA! Something you'd like to do. Can't guarantee there'll be someone who wants to do that thing, but maybe someone will also have a thing you'd like to do. Then, away you go and do it, or something. Why 6 and 7? Plenty of stuff starts at 7.30 if that's the kind of thing you want to do. If tonight/that time etc doesn't work for ya, no worries, I'm working on better ways of doing this, just want to get out and about tonight and test out this way of doing things in the process. Plus I work from home and have no failsafe after work go out option, so this is a variation on that too. (Editing this as I go, 6 and 7 can be an arrival time, not everything starts at 7.30 obvs so it's just to ensure you don't miss out on anyone heading off to something earlier, if this works, which it may not ...) If all else fails, I have about 5 things on my list of possibles, don't mind going alone but would be cool to meet more cultural tourists like me who kind of wish they could go to everything that's on in Glasgow on any given night, and definitely don't just want to sit in a pub (though ironically that's the start point really). Bonus points if you're skint too and good at sniffing out fun free stuff. :) Don't think it'll be hard to spot me but if it's somehow mega busy or something i'll make it obvious. Maybe a sign on a table or something. Will be able to reply today at some point if anyone shows an interest here anyway. Maybe see you tonight!
