Comment | There's just nothing there. Square miles of newbuild houses with nothing apart from one pub with a wee portacabin shop stuck outside (actually, full credit to the pub owners for setting it up so the locals can at least buy bread & milk), the train station, and a flat roofed hairdressers cabin. And if you're in Clover Crescent, even that is over a mile away from you.
As others have said there is a slightly bigger convenience store "Lallis" in Westburn, or the Tesco up in Drumsagard, but that's either a good half hour hike, or a 2 mile drive away, depending where abouts in NF you are. And they keep getting permission to build more houses, so you'll probably be within earshot of a building site for the next five years.
If you dont mind driving to go literally everywhere, then it could be fine for you. But it just strikes me as remote and soul-less, since you asked!
PS Oh also dont forget the stink of the sewage works just across the Clyde, again, mostly affecting the Clover Crescent area! |
