1. Don't live 'downtown' unless you have a really good reason - it's not like Buenos Aires, the city centre is mostly dead at night and generally not the nicest place to live. On that kind of salary (assuming pounds) you probably want to be in West End or Southside

2. Public transport is pretty good and it's not a big city, and generally not very car friendly in terms of parking etc. So I wouldn't bother with having a car just for getting about Glasgow. On the other hand, if you want to get out of the city and enjoy more of Scotland a car is almost essential.

3. No idea, but it certainly won't be like BA

4. If that's pounds, that's way more than enough to live comfortably - median income here is about £30k for a full-time professional. Rent is increasing rapidly but it's still a very cheap city for the UK
