It's actually *really* good at replacing the keyboard once you get used to it.

I used it on my livingroom media PC, and I can type faster, and use the pointer more accuratly, on it than on the shoogly wireless keyboard/touchpad combo I have. (It's kinda similar to using a swipe-keyboard on mobile)

It's just way out there in terms of design for the vast majority of people to be willing to come out of their comfort zone and learn to use it.
