Comment | The US only has freedom of speech (as defined by the First Amendment) *in relation to state actors*, again it's not a universal freedom. We have exactly the same rights here - you are entirely free to criticise and protest against the government, but that right does not extend to being allowed to infringe on the rights of others with relation to e.g. having privacy or quiet enjoyment. Exactly the same in the US as for the UK. |
