You need to understand the mindset.
Even if they never convince one woman to reconsider - it's worth their while. Even if they have to stand in the freezing wind and rain and nobody pays them any attention - it's worth their while.
They aren't there to 'save babies' they're there to save their own souls from the eternal agony their all-loving god is threatening them with. From their POV it's actually *better* for them if they catch pneumonia or get murdered by Rangers fans while doing something 'martyr-ish'.
