| Comment | No problem! I was in Murano, which back then (maybe still now?) had a reputation as the 'party halls'. There were flats of 5 rooms, and flats of 10-12, and I was really glad I chose a flat of 5. So much better being friends with the party flat rather than the party flat being your home. The Queen Margaret halls were my first choice as a compromise between Murano and private, but too expensive at the time.
Also, this is a personal thing, but just from my experience, I would much rather move in somewhere with shared loos/showers than having ensuite. It sounds great having your own, but in reality it's a shitey corner of an already tiny room where everything just gets wet from the shower. Also it means everyone locks themselves in their bedrooms a lot more as no reason to leave. |
