Much as I despise the eastern-european gangs that have van-loads of beggars everywhere - the guy outside my local morrisons often offers me a ciggy or some spare change when he sees me looking through the trollys for pound coins.
I wouldn't take his smash, but I have accepted a few cigs then repaid them on my good days.
