Im not saying BAE should make non military products, I'm saying why should tax payer money go to increasing the MOD budget (more than the NATO threshold) when no real threat is posed to the UK at all. and spare me the Ukraine argument, we havent been threatened by a neighbour since 2014 or longer. the MOD got a 20 billion increase during the beginning of covid whilst citizens got next to nothing. Why should the taxpayers make this country fertile for defense contractors. The engineers here can work in other sectors if the government ever decided to invest in manufacturing...and they say thatcher is dead. |
