Well done and thank you for sharing this, it's not easy to open up and be vulnerable but it's a major step and a sign that you know you deserve good things and to have people around you. I know for a lot of people, covid has massively changed their social landscape, and that's meant a lot of people have lost touch or lost friends, myself included! It really highlighted the differences in people's life stability and social stability in a way that can feel so unfair, I'm right there with you. On good days, it's a fresh start and a blank slate to start again, and on bad ones, it's so so lonely, but reaching out like you've done today is a great step in a good direction.

I saw on your comments that you're interested in games, would you be up for maybe going to some gaming meet ups or tabletop groups to get out and chat to people? Looking to your interests is a lovely way to meet people over shared passions, and takes a little pressure off. There are often meet ups shared here, and also many on meetup.com and eventbrite; when I first moved I used them a lot and they were great, and many still meet on zoom which is nice if youre not feeling up to in person meeting.

If you're not feeling up to seeking out friends and new company (totally fair if not! It's a lot!) it may be worth spending some time with yourself to really feel out what's going on for you right now emotionally, and working on building your self esteem and relationship with yourself, you deserve it! I don't know about your personal health situation so I understand you may have a lot going on, but working on that relation ship with ourselves is the best place to start, and I wonder if this is something you could chat about with your current support system. There are also some amazing charities in Glasgow that help with mental health, counselling, skills and support etc. Lifelink comes to mind, when I'm home I'll have a wee look on the computer at my list and send you any relevant ones if you'd be interested.

Not sure if any of that is useful for you, but I really feel you on this and really wish you all the best; you've got this.
