I love walking to, and around, residential areas in the city. I'm in Shawlands and a walk round the streets of Crosshill or Hampden has such a different vibe despite being only 15 mins or so from my house. You could use a Next bike to go a little further from wherever your local neighbourhood is. I think the first 30 mins is free but not 100% certain.

Take a picnic to one of the parks, a few cans of cocktails are unlikely to be noticed or cause any bother. Bring blankets and stay cosy if it's not warm. Most parks have something worth an explore eg flagpole/viewpoint at Queens Park, Fossil Grove at Victoria Park, Highland cows and calves plus the Burrell Collection at Pollok Park.

Follow the mural trail around the city centre.

Explore Glasgow uni - stunning buildings.

Visit the Panopticonon. It's a hidden gem and free to get into.

Make use of being in a city that makes art and culture free and visit the art galleries (Kelvingrove, modern art) and museums (Burrell, People's Palace, Hunterian) that in any other city would cost ££ to get into.

If you're able to drive, the Museum of Industrial Life in Coatbridge is truly brilliant. The miners cottages decked out in various era decors are wonderful ❤️

Take a train to Ayr or Troon, walk on the front and eat chips for dinner.
