| Comment | As someone mentioned before. Make sure they have a minimum of three quotes. Ask the factors to see the quotes and what the mark up is that they are charging for their admin part in the process, should be no more than 15%
If and when the work gets carried out. Email the factor to say you want the work documented ie. Photos of the rotten joists and full photos and written report of the work that has been carried out.
Most contractors nowadays have to send photos of the work with a report to their client so this shouldn't be an issue for the factor to send it over to you.
