| Comment | I would not reccomend doing this. I know someone who worked for Home Fundraising - 14h days in the middle of a cold winter - if you didn't get sign ups, you'll get £35 a day. If you get a sign up and the person cancels within 6 months, you don't get paid for the sign ups.
You have to show up to the office hours before you start getting paid. Sometimes you have to take a train [and pay for it] after commuting to the office to go to a neighbourhood. Often, you're dropped of in low income neighbourhoods which understandably, have people that don't want to give you the time of day.
It's a really tough gig - I know super charismatic people who did terribly at this job.
also, it tends not to be cash in hand since that's dodgy if you're working for charities.
