I would not reccomend doing this. I know someone who worked for Home Fundraising - 14h days in the middle of a cold winter - if you didn't get sign ups, you'll get £35 a day. If you get a sign up and the person cancels within 6 months, you don't get paid for the sign ups.

You have to show up to the office hours before you start getting paid. Sometimes you have to take a train [and pay for it] after commuting to the office to go to a neighbourhood. Often, you're dropped of in low income neighbourhoods which understandably, have people that don't want to give you the time of day.

It's a really tough gig - I know super charismatic people who did terribly at this job.

also, it tends not to be cash in hand since that's dodgy if you're working for charities.

However, It will fill a gap in your CV
