You crossed from *technically* Strathbungo into actual Govanhill. It's a different world on the East side of the Vicky Line.
The area is still great (I was there today) but the Vicky Line is still real.
The problems in Govanhill predate the current waves of immigration by some way. I can remember the running battles between the ~~wannabes~~ young teams.
Worst problem now is the litter. But that's Glasgow in general. |
