I’ve done the Kismot Killer (infamous, hospital inducing curry In Edinburgh) so I can handle spice. This comes from experience.

The hottest wings I’ve ever had were at Brooklyn Cafe. I went along to a special hot wing eating competition. I came third, however was enough wings behind the winner than I knew I’d never do it. The pain was real. My fingers tingled for days.

The spiciest curry I’ve had is actually a special at Bombay Blues. It’s more regularly a buffet restaurant but unused to go quite a lot with a friend and they’d make me a ridiculously hot one basically made from chilli power and fresh chillis. It gave me palpations and genuinely was not enjoyable. I’m sure you could ask for it if you want to try, describe the above and they should do it.

The bucks bar / bird box challenge is easy from a spice perspective.

I see Akbar’s does a spice challenge now, I think that would be easy as I’ve always asked them to make my curry as hot as possible and never really been challenged there.

If you come across any super spicy foods let me know - the jungle curry mentioned above sounds great.
