| Comment | Get in touch with Living Rent or Shelter, wish we woulda done that years ago. My wife used to rent a flat from Property4U; the only thing worse than the state of the flat was the disposition of the agents. The previous tenant had done a runner and my wife ended up spending months cleaning it up, including scrubbing human faeces off the walls. Holes in the walls, leaky windows, black mould, nonfunctioning plumbing, rats, no buzzer for the close. If we had known then what we know now we could have probably taken them to the cleaners. Think it's like 3 bucks a month to join Living Rent and they'll help you. Never renting without a union again. Take pictures of everything. |
