\*Genuine "service dog"
* A "Recognised Assistance Dog" as trained by "International Guide Dogs Federation" or "Assistance Dogs International" member organisation (more [here](http://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/law/)).
* "Emotional Support Animals" are a USA thing and not recognised here.
* Other working dogs (e.g. some therapy dogs) may well be highly trained, but are *not* genuine service dogs.
* People claiming their pets as service dogs is a serious problem for those with genuine need as the fakes are often poorly trained and lead to problems/suspicion. |
