The story with the Egyptian halls on Union Street is a proper scam, guy who owns the building refuses to do anything with it and insists that the government pay him to turn it into a fancy hotel or something. We really should have a mechanism for the government repossessing listed buildings if they aren't cared for properly, especially if the person who owns it has the means to do so.
