although it doesn't conform to the typical "Asian street food vendor" image, to me the chippy is the Scottish equivalent. Can be eaten on the go, is generally quickly made and probably greasy, can be eaten after pubbing/clubbing on the way home and is synonymous with helping to soak up a belly full of booze. The humble chips cheese and curry, cant beat it
