It's virtually all traffic free cycletrack from Paisley (starting at canal street station) to Kilbirnie via Lochwinnoch. After Elderslie there is also an option to take a fork that will take you out to above Port Glasgow via Bridge of Weir and Kilmacolm. Again all traffic free.
Getting to canal street station is a bit more awkward - there is a cycle route there which is part of the sustrans network - some of it pleasant like through Pollok Park and along the White Cart but other bits are on road. It's signed at least so easy to follow. |
