| Comment | i'm honestly considering voting for greens. i'm a long time snp voter but on the local level, i don't see them doing shit.
i came off my bike last year breaking 3 bones in both my arms after hitting a pothole i'd been complaining to the council about for over a year. the council LOST my first accident claim form (all i wanted was the money to repair my bike and the money i spent on buses to the hospital) so i had to fill out the claim form all over again. i told my local MP about this and he was like "i'll get on it" still took 6 months for a reply (i'd been out the casts for 3 months at that point) and all i got in my message from the council saying "that pothole couldn't have caused that accident, we will not process your claim any further" and when i asked for an appeal, i got ignored by the council. the entire time, our local MP wasn't helping at all.
if it's on a local level, i want to vote for someone who's going to try making my day to day life easier and if that means the greens removing a lane of traffic so i can more easily get around on the bike or by foot. so be it. |
