| Comment | I think that the best area of Glasgow is the south side. Battlefield, Mount Florida, Cathcart, Shawlands, Strathbungo, Newlands, Pollokshields, Pollokshaws, Maxwell Park and Giffnock are all recommended. There are loads of amenities like shops, bars, restaurants. There are some fantastic parks like Rouken Glen, Pollok, Newlands and Queen’s Park. Most of the areas I’ve listed are less than half an hour to Glasgow city centre by public transport. Rents aren’t as expensive as the city centre or west end for similar properties. There are some really good schools for kids, both public and private. Most of these areas are quite quiet and residential unless you’re on the main thoroughfares. It’s ideal. |
