| Comment | Depends on their age tbh. If they are say 15 and under then their parents or guardians should be assigned a family support worker and be monitored by the social work department until they are satisfied that they are actually looking after them, they should also be made to work along with a youth probationary officer and put into mandatory 'at-risk of reoffending' programs (I don't know if Extern exists in Scotland but that's the program in NI). If they are 16 and older I would say the same course of action but heavier sentencing, like making them do community service hours. If they are repeat offenders then jail-time in a young offenders facility. |
