| Comment | The last 12 years we've seen the Tories cut funds and resources to schools, social work, hostels, rehabilitation centres, hospitals, mental health facilities, The Police, literally every agency that can help in preventing young children from falling between the cracks and getting help has been decimated. It's no coincidence that as a result we are seeing more and more kids indulging in ASB and the majority of them will be from poor and vulnerable backgrounds, the exact people who are effected most by these cuts.
Aye there were Ned's 20 years ago, bit we've seen a fair bit of stability in serious crime in this city previously due to the way it was tackled and the allocation of funds. When you start cutting those funds across the board and continue to do it for 12 years, this is the consequence and it's only going to get worse. |
