| Comment | It’s a shared space that everybody needs to use considerately and responsibly. Unfortunately there are way too many utter cunts that are let loose on the roads in all categories of users. Driving standards are shocking in recent years.
Every road user needs to look out for other road users who are more vulnerable than them, even in instances where the vulnerable road user is at fault.
Bus/HGV drivers have a higher responsibility than car drivers > car drivers have a higher responsibility than cyclists > cyclists have a higher responsibility than pedestrians.
I cycle myself for leisure so I don’t have a gripe against cyclists, but they are disproportionately bad road users because so many have no real understanding of the rules of the road.
There is a particular junction on a popular route where almost daily I see cyclists nearly getting themselves in serious accidents because they just don’t understand traffic patterns. |
