I was on a snowboarding holiday in Italy recently. Me and my mate arrived at a busy outdoor restaurant and looked for a table. We spotted a couple who looked as though they were getting ready to leave. 2 people sitting at a table for 4. I very politely asked if they were leaving. Turns out they were English, and the woman looked at me and went "in 10 minutes" and promptly fucked about for a full 10 minutes while we hovered nearby.
Both me and my mate said in unison when we eventually sat down, that had we been home in Glasgow, the folk would've invited you to sit down straight away and would have had a great wee chat before heading off. |
