| Comment | I agree with the vit-d and lamp ideas for sure but seriously, autumn is my most favourite season of all. The light during the day is gorgeous, the colour of the leaves on the trees changing, the crisp feel of the cold air when you're out walking. Then the contrast of the warm cosy cafés, bars, restaurants etc. Glasgow is the best city and I say that as a Northern Irish born and bred 50 something who's lived in Belfast, Dublin and Glasgow. Glasgow wins hands down for the welcome, the culture and access to beautiful scenery and sure you're only a stone's throw from a flight to Belfast so you can visit the Motherland while you're here too.
Please don't set yourself up to have a dull time here by overthinking this. Accept the welcome that people will offer you and get involved with whatever is going on around you. You won't notice the darkness. It's just there to help Glasgow's lights shine a bit brighter. |
