The whole blaming English people for property prices rising does have a tinge of nastiness to it, there's no doubt about it. Also, property prices in this city have been on the rise for sometime, when I bought a gaff we were priced out numerous times as properties were going for way over the HR value and that was in 2017, so it's not been this increase thats appeared overnight, it's been happening for sometime.

Also, and this cannot be stressed enough, this is not unique to Glasgow. You go to any big city in the UK and the struggle to get on the housing ladder is a major issue, one that's been exacesrba6ted by a pandemic but one thats been happening for years.

The cunt in this article is slightly different as he's explicitly stated he's just buying it to rent out where as most people that come here from London, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds etc, move her permanently and contribute to local economies etc.
