It's same in most of Europe at the moment. I am from Poland and property market there is completely fucked up by BTL investors, local as well as from abroad. Prices were increasing 30% year by year. Now it took a dive though as Central Bank increased interest rates from 0.25% to 5.5% roughly basically fucking over normal people who managed to buy a property rather than cash investors (95% of mortgages in Poland are with variable rate). Least to say, it is fucked up probably more than here.
