| Comment | I'd recommend you do this, estate agents are total scam artists and always try and pressure you into using their recommended solicitor (they get a commission if you follow their advice). Often it's not even a proper solicitor, but a conveyancing company, it's hard to get personal contact with someone. I've used both and a proper solicitor is always better. If you need a recommendation I used Carruthers Gemmil on Bath St (recommended by someone in this sub) in 2020 for a house purchase and they were great, and reasonably priced. |
