Comment | I've had the police turn up to my door for loud music.
It was a Thursday night so I don't blame my neighbours to be fair. They pitched up (no idea how long they took from point of call to arrival)
I had the music off by time they arrived. They just asked me my basic personal details and whether I was playing music which I said yes and essentially they just said be courteous and polite to the neighbours and then left. That was it.
I went downstairs the next morning and just gave the neighbours who I suspected to have called the police (they obviously didn't tell me who complained and I wouldn't have asked) my mobile number
Anyways... I asked them to send me a text first of all or give me a call if they didn't feel confident to come to my door. Save the police time etc.
I understand why they called the police rather than just coming to the first. My flatmate and I were in our late 20's both male. They were young students and both female, that can be intimatidatjng I reckon. |
