| Comment | Not a chance you’d be able to do this for structural reasons, foundation underpinning etc, but mainly for the legal liability you’d have for every other flat in the tenement and the lengthy process getting every one of them to sign off on the idea. Their mortgages, title deeds and insurance would all be affected. Also, if your tenement is terraced - as most are - then it would potentially affect everyone on the street. Unless you own all the flats in your building I can’t see it happening. |
