FamilyLawMatters have been decent for me, at some times I have been frustrated but it is a frustrating process.

One of the bits of advice that has helped me is that the impression you get from legal TV is that lawyers are some all knowing fast talking savants that know every step the other side will take etc.

The reality is you do not want to pay them to obsess over your case in the way you do, nobody has that money, you are the one who knows your case and they know the law. Treat them as legal consultants who can advise on legal matters, not as an advisor that will investigate and consider all possible options going forward for you.
