Create fan zone(s) with preferred routes to transport (clubs to cover all costs if setup, marshalling/policing, clean up etc), arrest any fan caught acting the arse outside the zone(s).
If there's too many fans from one club arrested, that club should face a ban on fans at matches for a period. Or be docked points. Don't care.
Fans need to get it through their thick skulls that behaviour like yesterday is wholly unacceptable and they (and their club) be punished. |
