Wasn't the alternative (a Labour run admin) going to be headed by a corrupt landlord who was a core part of the Labour group that was responsible for e.g. the pay disputes (never mind longer term degredation, and sowing the seeds of most major problems the city has)?
Not a fan of Aitken, but it seems like Glasgow's politics are custom built to fuck the city no matter what...
