Yes, but not always - Berlin used to be famously cheap (and still is compared to Hamburg or Frankfurt) and Rome is cheaper than Turin and Milan. Barcelona is more expensive than Madrid.

But Scotland only really has five cities - Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, and Inverness. If you compare them, Glasgow is bang in the middle - cheaper than Edinburgh and Aberdeen but dearer than Dundee and Inverness.

If you compare it to other UK cities then it is cheaper than London (by miles), Bristol, and Manchester, more expensive than Cardiff and Belfast, and about level with Leeds.

When you consider what it has to offer, I think Glasgow is an incredibly inexpensive city from a value perspective.
