Nice Pubs? - 0. Munns is a crack den, Star and Garter only vaguely acceptable on match days and the Woodie really isn’t in Firhill.
Things to do? - There’s Ruchill park - which for all it’s better than it was is still pretty grim. And the scene of a lot of serious crime (well documented murders etc). What else? Clay pits? It’s hardly kicking off unless I’m missing something.
Area itself - Much better than it was (You likely won’t remember) but still noticeably a bridge between nice bits of Glasgow and Possil/Possilpark.
Shops - Bunch of Newsagents and many offlicences?
It’s main redeeming feature is that it’s near other things. GW road, City Centre etc.
I’m glad you’re proud of where you live - that can only be a good thing BUT let’s not let that get in the way of the fact 99% of people would live in other area’s in Glasgow around Firhill if they had the chance to. |
