Anecdotally from living in Edinburgh 2018-2020 and Glasgow since then, the neds are actually significantly worse in Edin. I find Glasgow neds actually alright if you stand your ground even a tiny bit, they're pretty respectful and will clear out your way, and at any rate most of the time they're just underage drinking and being irritating, while Edinburgh neds actually cause a lot more real damage
