Glasgow is a great city steeped in history and people are fantastic on the whole. I’m from northern England but have lived here for 15 years.

As others have said the problems here are found in most cities. Covid has closed down a lot of businesses particularly in the city centre which is a shame. Boarded up premises are never a good look and attract untowards.

My main gripe with Glasgow is the council want to be this green, progressive establishment. Some of the policies are inappropriately supported by the infrastructure. There is no train to the airport which is a huge issue for a city of this size and stature. Similarly the banning of cars in town and reinstating parking charges on Sundays is hardly helping revive trade in desperate need. Poor planning decisions in the past have left eyesores (M8) and terrible road layouts.

That said I love it here and found my wife and have a kid. You can’t win ‘em all!!
