Comment | See my circumstances are similar to yours (bar higher education being expected, I was the first from my family to go to uni) but as my family came from poverty and have strong cockney accents they'd laugh if you ever called them middle class. I always remember my Grandad telling me Beckham was working class as if he ever hung out with real upper class people they'd never treat him as an equal because of how he talked and where he came from, regardless of how much money he made. |
