Nobody is saying someone on a low-average salary can’t aspire to live in more expensive areas but living in those areas doesn’t change your social class either. If you’re on £1.2k and rattling £800 on your mortgage/rent for a place in Dowanhill then it’s not the best management of funds. Unless your entire life goal is just to life in a specific area, then it’s an investment in your dreams.
Seems like a bit if a touchy subject for you tbh. Is your budget maybe a bit stretched on your gaff?
