From a quick Google - it’s an extremely high paid job with minimum qualification requirements.

A Nat 4/5 are required as a qualification or SVQ 2. I mean that’s a secondary school education for a considerably high paid job.

That May in essence be the issue with train drivers getting sympathy. Qualification don’t directly reflect the difficulty of the job - but I think this and the already high salaries may be the issue.

Are the bad contracts (no nights or weekends) an issue from Scotrail through Abellio or Scotrail separately? Because Scottish Gov have now taken this over - so they are now dealing with a problem created by a private company?
