| Comment | That’s insane. I mean questions need to be asked how it ever got so high? If it’s bad contracts why didn’t they just get more contracts to cover all the hours.
I know people starting want the same contracts and conditions as those working. But something needs to be addressed - can’t go on. It’s sort of like the conditions in police and fire service had to be reduce was that approx 5-10 years ago. It wasn’t sustainable.
Is the rail service making money? If not, maybe a thought needs to be given that a pay rise is being asked for - while the company (if independent private) would be sunk. |
