I think the issue is the money (public) going for an increased wages when other services are clearly struggling and underpaid.

I mean social care workers are terribly paid. Most worked through the pandemic & qualification wise are SVQ level above train drivers (correct me if I’m wrong). On job training & level of responsibility could be argued is equal to or more than. Work unsociable hours and difficult environments. Should we not push for them to have a pay rise?

I mean if there is only x amount of money in the public purse - we should debate how that is spent?

I think assuming every organisation/job role has an equal union is an issue. But also people are taking a collective action view. But what if that collective action hurts others in their wish to get a pay increase?
