You said they could - I was just asking? But then why are not all unions asking for reasonable salaries for their members? I think you are throwing out statements and I’m just asking for clarify. What’s the reasonable amount? 55k? 60k? 65k? More?

I’m not mad. I just find it difficult to support them when I personally view them as well paid. I think I would prefer public money to be spent elsewhere. That’s my view.

If it’s your contract - you can’t be made to do overtime. I totally support that! However I am sure people were happy at times (not all) to take overtime pay - that’s fair.

I’m not disputing the contract they have. I’m personally not happy with public money being spent on a pay increase. Surely the solution to this is to train more drivers, and negotiated different working patterns. I don’t think that requires a pay increase at any time. Similarly, I think it’s established rail service is nationalised & will not be running at a profit - or is this inaccurate?
